President's Message Here we are at that time of year again. The holidays behind us, the long hard summer ahead of us. Our Annual EXPO “FRESH” is right around the corner. Make plans now to attend and treat yourself to a great, fun, educational experience.
This years EXPO promises to be a day packed with wonderful programs, talented designers and helpful ideas to ease the hit we are all taking due to the economy. Come and learn how to improve your business by being an involved member of ASFA. People ask us all the time why they should be members and what they get from it. The sad truth is, not too much if you don't get involved. ASFA is a valuable network of people just like you, sharing the same struggles and triumphs.
Come this year and check us out, talk to fellow florists, learn valuable lessons from others, ideas you can use to improve your bottom line, and just to know that you are not alone.
This year we will be at the Black Canyon Conference Center. Although it is a one day program, it is a long full day, so there is a Marriott Courtyard located directly behind it. They are giving ASFA a special rate for those of you who choose to make it an “overnighter” and enjoy a nice evening and can show up “FRESH” and early in the morning. The Black Canyon Conference Center is a beautiful facility with meeting rooms, classroom space and a ballroom that will be set for our programs. Aside from our Continental Breakfast & Teleflora Awards Luncheon, and Vendor/Partner Walk, we have Susie Overton-Ayala AIFD coming to us from Florida for the afternoon symposium, Anthony Vigliotta AIFD & Cory Lonsert AIFD both from California, as well as our own Tony Medlock AIFD PFCI all showing you “FRESH” new design styles, trends, mechanics, wedding ideas and ways to re-new your style and give your shop a “FRESH” new look.
Your board has worked hard to put together this Expo for you, so please take advantage of the opportunities afforded you here. Mark the date on your calender for Sunday, July 27th 2008 and get excited about what lies ahead. For the price, you won't find this much value anywhere else. We know you won't be disappointed.
