Scholarship - The Scholarship Committee was established to assist members who may need financial assistance in raising their skill level of floriculture.  Any member who wishes to ask for assistance in doing so needs to contact the Scholarship Chairman or any member of the Board of Directors. The Scholarship Chairman will then provide a scholarship application, which once completed will be presented to the Board for approval if approved, funds provided to assist said member.

Depending on the yearly budget, and the approval of the Board of Directors a scholarship may be presented to one or more applicants.  At a time when the ASFA board had no requests, none will be given.

Education - The Convention Chair will work with the current President on this committee.  There will be one (1) convention each year, which will be held in July and rotate throughout the cities of Arizona.  This event can be workshops, hands-on- programs, etc., where the board will offer educational experience to those attending.  The revenue from these events is income to the ASFA board.  These Educational Events are not to be a duplication of an AzMF class.

Fund RaiserThe Treasurer chairs the Fund Raiser Committee, and must plan one (1) Fund Raiser a year. More may be planned.  The Fund Raiser of selling Opportunity/Raffle Tickets for a Full Registration to the next year's Convention have been intended to raise funds for the Scholarship Fund.

Hospitality - The-Hospitality Chairman and committee are in charge of the Hospitality Night at the convention.  The planning of a theme, entertainment, food, etc.  The chairman makes the contacts and negotiates the contracts/agreements with DJs.  Hotel charges are handled through the ASFA board Account, with the occurred expenses deducted from the members dues.

Nominations - The Immediate Past President automatically serves as chairman of this committee, which is comprised of two (2) additional members appointed by the President.  The President serves as an ex-officio member of this committee.  The committee decides on the candidates for 1st Vice-President, 2nd Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, at least seven (7 on odd years) and eight (8 on even years) directors.  In the election of officers it is suggested that two candidates run, however candidates may run unopposed with a possible write-in candidate it that candidate has served at least a year on the Board.  For the Board of Directors there must be at least seven (7 on odd years) and eight (8 on even years)  or possibly more. 

The Nominating Committee must secure from each candidate a fifty-word statement to be forwarded as a group to the board of directors. 

Publications - The Chairman of Publications is also, the Editor of the Newsletter.  The responsibility of this committee is to publish and mail to all members of Arizona State Florists Association.  This mailing list also, includes ASFA HONORARY/LIFETIME MEMBERS, all Past Presidents, all partners of ASFA. The Secretary of ASFA works with the Publications Chairman on the ASFA Newsletter.

The ASFA By-Laws state that there must be three (3) newsletters a year, however due to budget the board has had to at times cut the publication to two (2) issues.

Public Relations - The Public Relations Chairman works with all members of the Board and Committee Heads, with the sole purpose of advertising events and functions of the association.

Sunshine - The Sunshine Chairman and Committee are directed by the President to send flowers to members or special friends of ASFA when he/she deems it appropriate.  There will be a $50.00 limit on such orders unless other amounts are authorized by a majority vote of the board.  The Sunshine Chairman will mail Get Well, Sympathy cards or other correspondence authorized by the President.

The member and spouse/significant other will be considered to receive such floral gifts in case of serious illness or for any other reason that may be deemed appropriate by the President.  Any other special friend of ASFA would be at the discretion of the Board.

Floral Memorial - Upon approval of the ASFA Board, the President shall have the authority to send floral memorials or other sympathy flowers to special friends of ASFA or members when he/she deems it appropriate.  There will be a $75.00 limit for such orders unless other amounts are authorized by a majority vote of the board.

The member, spouse/significant other and children of the member shall be considered automatic for floral memorials.  Any other relative or special friend of ASFA would only be at the discretion of the ASFA Board.

When at all possible memorial flowers should be billed directly to the board by the delivering florist at 100% value and not be processed through a wire service organization.

Historian -  The historian keeps a listing of history of the association and continually updates the newest inductees, officer and board member positions, awardees of the Honorary/Lifetime member, ASFA Floral Hall of Fame, Greenleaf and presidents.

Membership Committee - A membership chairperson will be assigned. This position is normally held by a member or the Board of Directors. The Membership Chair may recruit other members for the committee. Membership Chair's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, contacting any florist or vendor who is a potential member of the association. Chair will explain the purpose and benefits of belonging To ASFA to the potential member. Chair will prepare marketing materials and an keep an up to date Member Application to join ASFA. These documents will be mailed or handed to potential members. These documents should also be availible on the website. Chair will follow up with members who have received applications or who have requested information.

*All Committee Chairpersons are responsible for presenting a written detailed report of  his/her committee activities at the annual meeting at convention.
